Description of the Campsite

The La Chapelle campsite is a calm and shady campsite situated in the heart of Argelès-Plage in the Languedoc Roussillon region of France near the border with Spain. The site is only 200m from the sandy beach ! The site offers Keycamp and Eurocamp Kids Clubs including Fun Station for All (ages 4-12) and Mini Fun Station as well as Mini Fun Station swimming lessons.
In sheltered green surroundings, the campsite pitches are mostly surrounded by hedges.
You will hardly need a car during your stay as you can walk to
the shops and entertainments in the town from the site. Being
centrally placed in the seaside resort,
camping La Chapelle lies close to various activities and leisure
facilities including a variety of shops, restaurants, bars,
tennis courts, a cinema, discos, a casino and a craft market
At the port you can try some water based activities such as
scuba diving and
sailing. On the beach, you can try windsurfing or walk
along the promenade.
Other activities which are less than 10 kilometres away include
bowling,
canyonning, mountain biking, hiking, water parks, horse riding,
beauty spas…
There are numerous possibilities for excursions from
Argelès-sur-Mer including Barcelona, Carcassonne, the
principality of Andorra as well as boat trips.


The facilities on-site are as follows :
- swimming pools - 2 outdoor pools for all the family and one outdoor children's pool with a maximum depth of 0.4 m. There is a slide pool (pictured above) and then there is also a covered pool for all the family. Please note that shorts are not allowed according to the pool rules so men and boys may need to wear swimming trunks. Best to pack these just in case !

- Eurocamp and Keycamp Mini Fun Station (ages 12 months - 4 years old), Mini Fun Station (with swimming lessons) which runs from late May until early July
- Eurocamp and Keycamp Fun Station for All kids club(ages 4-12) which runs in the high season of early July until end of August.
- campsite children's clubs in July and August offering sports and dance etc.

Getting There
Argeles Sur Mer and Argeles Plage are on the South Coast of France at the Meditteranean and very near the Spanish Border. You may want to get there by flying then hiring a car. The drive from the Channel Ports is a long one but you could break the journey with an overnight stop.

Things to Do in the Area
Argeles Plage Argeles Plage is the town right at the beach and offers a variety of restaurants and shops.
Argeles Sur Mer This resort is set just back from the beach resort of Argeles Plage and offers restaurants and shops.

Collioure
Visit Collioure and see the Bar du Templiers where young artists such as Picasso and Matisse would buy drinks with their paintings.
You will love its meandering narrow village streets filled with colour and the
church tower right on the seafront.
Château de PeyrepertuseYou can drive to this château in the mountains near to Perpignan and enjoy the great views and surrounding countryside.
Aqualand St Cyprien
If you have younger children or teenagers with you who would like to have a day in a water park then the
excellent Aqualand at St Cyprien is well worth a visit. This is a large
waterpark with an excellent selection of pools and slides. Suitable for toddlers and teenagers. It is the largest waterpark in Roussillon.
Argeles Adventure
Climbing/adventure park. (Not suitable for under 5's.)
Pyrenees Mountains The Pyrenees Mountains separate France from Spain at the border here.
Barcelona
Its 2 hours away but you might find that the 117 mile journey
is worth it if you've always wanted to see Barcelona.
