Description of the Campsite
The International Cam
psite
of Maisons-Laffitte is perfectly located for visiting
all of Paris. It is ideal for an
overnight stop or to allow you to have a holiday where
you can take full advantage of visiting the numerous theme and
leisure parks and the tourist and historic sites of Paris and
its surrounding area. The site is only 20 minutes from the
Centre of Paris.
The spectacular Chateau of Versailles is 30 minutes away by car.
The Maisons-Laffitte station (RER line A), which is a 10 minute walk from
the campsite, allows you to easily and directly access the
Centre of Paris in just 20 minutes and Disneyland Paris in 50
minutes. Trains run on average every 15 minutes from 5am
until half past midnight (every day) to take you to the heart of
Paris.

A transport information point is set up within the campsite every summer.
The campsite is located on an island in the
middle
of the River Seine and offers
you calm and comfort a few kilometres from Paris. There is a
bridge across so you can get off the island !
This 6.5 hectare site has 351 pitches for tents, caravans or
camping-cars including 120 fully equipped mobile-homes.
Please be aware that as the site is next to the river you may
not want to visit if you have young children.
The
campsite offers a multilingual on-site team to welcome you and
offer advice throughout your stay. You will also have
Keycamp or Eurocamp reps available if
you book your holiday with these travel companies.
During July and August, an information point is on-site to inform you of connections to Paris and its surroundings. You can also purchase at reception, throughout the season, your tickets for Disneyland Paris or book your guided tours to Paris.

We used this site as a base for visiting Paris and were happy with it. Some of the facilities are getting a bit "tired" although a new toilet block has recently been built. There is a train line near the site and you may get some noise from this and there can also be noise from boats on the River Seine. These noises may bother you more if you are in a tent rather than in a mobile home Also be aware that the skate park next to the site is a public skate park so you may want to supervise your children if they are trying it out. However, for plus points, we found the reception staff to be very helpful and of course the main plus point about this site is its excellent location near the centre of Paris and close to a train station.
The campsite offers the following facilities :
- assorted games including a football wall,
basketball net, bowls areas, table tennis (ping-
pong)
and a small playground. - a shop
- a bar
- snack bar/restaurant
- takeaway meals of for example, pizza, burger and fries from April until October
- reception can help you book excursions and, for example, trips to Disney via outside companies
- TV room
- laundry with washing machines
- showers and toilets
- there is NO swimming pool at this campsite although there is a pool 2 kilometres away
- internet access
- The location of the campsite on the banks
of the Seine allows those that have a fishing licence to
fish from the campsite itself.

We have found that the campsites described are very good but we find that it is difficult to find a campsite which has 100% of what you are looking for. Also one person may love a busy campsite with lots of activities while someone else may love a quiet campsite with a small swimming pool. Actually we tend to be the latter ! So what we have done is highlight the good points of the sites and maybe point out a few of what we have found as slightly negative points. However we strongly recommend that you make full use of as many internet sources as possible before deciding about your holiday, including other review sites and Google maps etc.
