The park is beautifully situated in the Aisne valley beside a gently flowing river. The site is deal for children thanks to a special parkland play area.

Families travelling with small children please note that some of the tent, safari tent, some mobile homes and tree house pitches are located close to open water. Please check with your tour operator for more details.
Please note that some visitors have reported a few problems with the park recently with regards to drainage but some of this has been due to periods of particularly heavy rain. Hopefully ongoing improvements to drainage systems will remedy this.

that is
reasonably priced.

Disneyland® Park and Walt Disney Studios® Park are 90 km

The two parks are situated next to each other and offer more than 50 fantastic attractions, shows and parades, a superb range of restaurants and shopping.
Parc Asterix
Parc Asterix (about an hour's drive away) - this theme park
has a real French feel to it. There are druid stones, medieval
villages, and of course the characters Asterix and Obelix. There
are rides to suit all ages from gentle fairground rides to
Europe's second biggest rollercoaster. You can also go along to
some great shows, including dolphin shows. There are restaurants
and cafeterias for all tastes. (You can maybe use Tesco Clubcard
vouchers here if you get organised beforehand!) or you may be
able to buy tickets in advance at the campsite.
Compiègne (26 km)
This is a lovely town to visit and you will also find a site
of great interest just a few miles
outside the town where you will find the Armistice Clearing where Germany
surrendered the First World War battles. It was also where Hitler
returned to sign his surrender to France. Well worth a visit but
check out the opening times before you go. Easily found as it is signposted well.

Château de Pierrefonds
The classic medieval château at Pierrefonds dominates the
surrounding landscape. The Château has been restored from ruins
into a imperial residence complete with turrets, towers and a
moat. It makes a great day out and the town of Pierre Fond is
also very scenic and worth a trip.
Soissons (19 km)
There is a very impressive Gothic cathedral to see in the
town of Soissons. The building was begun in 1177 and finished in
the late 13th Century. There is actually a two star municipal
campsite at Soissons which looks of a good standard.
Click here to find out more. There is a nice pizzeria
restaurant in Soissons called "Le Saint Vincent".
Reims (78 km)
The largest city in the Champagne region. Many people
know Reims for its fantastic cathedral, Notre-Dame de
Reims, formerly the place of coronation of the kings of
France. The cathedral became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in
1991, along with the former Abbey of Saint-Remi and the
Palace of Tau which can also be visited.
Along with Épernay and Ay, Reims is one of the centres of champagne production. Many of the largest champagne-producing houses, known as les grandes marques, have their headquarters in Reims, and most open for tasting and tours. Champagne ages in the many caves and tunnels under Reims, which form a sort of maze below the city. These tunnels are carved from chalk and some of these passages date back to Roman times.
Chantilly (82 km)
The Château de Chantilly was home of the princes of
Condé, cousins of the kings of France. Chantilly is also
known for horse racing, with Chantilly Racecourse, and the
Living Museum of the Horse (La Musée Vivant du
Cheval), with stables built by the Princes of
Condé. Founded in 1982, the museum has become an
internationally acknowledged museum of horses with 4000
square meters of floor space and 800 metres of track.
Horses of various breeds are present, with riding
demonstrations given 3 times a day.
Versailles - Palace and Gardens (118 kms or 1 hr
49 mins)
The Palace and Gardens of Versailles are a must for anyone
visiting Paris although they are quite a distance from this
campsite. It is difficult to take in all the attractions in
one visit. One can visit the Hall of Mirrors where the
Treaty of Versailles was signed and also wander through the
spectacular gardens. There is also an equestrian show.

We have found that the campsites described are very good but we find that it is difficult to find a campsite which has 100% of what you are looking for. Also one person may love a busy campsite with lots of activities while someone else may love a quiet campsite with a small swimming pool. Actually we tend to be the latter ! So what we have done is highlight the good points of the sites and maybe point out a few of what we have found as slightly negative points. However we strongly recommend that you make full use of as many internet sources as possible before deciding about your holiday, including other review sites and Google maps etc.
