Disneyland Park

With about 10,000,000 visitors each year Disneyland Park at Marne-la-Vallée, near Paris is the most popular theme park in Europe. The park itself is huge, being nearly a fifth the size of Paris ! There are five main themed areas and you will find street parades and thrilling rides, including Space Mountain: Mission 2, Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain.

Disneyland Park is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year and will have Star Wars themed events.

There is accommodation close to Disney or why not stay at a campsite so you can make it more of a longer French holiday and maybe enjoy some of the sights in Paris or in the local area.


Walt Disney Studios Park

At just over 2 million visitors is the film and show business themed Walt Disney Studios Park also at Marne-la-Vallée. Themed areas, golden age of film area, find out how films are made and explosive special effects - all make this park a great day out!

Puy du Fou

The fantastic Puy du Fou historic theme park at Les Epesses in the Vendee region of western France has around 2 million visitors per year. The theme park is not your typical theme park with rollercoasts, but instead features some absolutely spectacular shows based around the history of France. Well worth a day out if you are within an hour or even two hours travelling time. There is also an evening spectacular with a cast of 1,000s! There are also facilities to stay overnight in your motorhome, with electricity and water being available.

Parc Astérix at Plailly

The rides at this park are based on the characters from the Astérix and Obelix stories. It has France's first ever wooden roller coaster.

The park is situated approximately 35 km (22 mi) north of Paris, 32 km (20 mi) from Disneyland Paris and 20 km (12 mi) from the historic Château de Chantilly, in the city of Plailly

The Futuroscope theme park is very interactive and is based on science and technology themes. It makes use of 3D cinema and multimedia themed special effects in a variety of shows, often with an educational theme eg the environment or evolution.  at Jaunay-Clan.

Futuroscope is in the Poitou-Charentes region near Poitiers, close to the Atlantic coast and centrally situated for visitors to western France being acessible from much of Poitou-Charentes, the western Loire Valley and the northern Dordogne region. Day trips to Futuroscope by TGV from Paris are also possible (80 minutes on the train).
